If you keep up with me on social media sites like Instagram and Twitter, you'll know that about two weeks ago my family and I took a trip to Disneyland. Disneyland is one of my favorite places in the world, to be honest. Growing up, I lived about 15 minutes away from there, so you can bet my family and I had season passes. Whether we would go to ride rides, get something to eat (because I mean Disney food is the best), or just to say hello to the characters, we would go almost every single day, even on school days. Even on the days we didn't step foot inside the park, my family and I could still experience the Disney magic because we could watch the Disneyland fireworks from our driveway. Even though I only go about once a year now living two hours away, I still think of Disneyland as another home for me.
Like I was saying before I started going down memory lane, my family and I took a trip to Disneyland a few weeks ago and I had such a fun time I almost bought a hotel for us to stay in so we could go again the next day. I'm moving to Tennessee in July so this was my last time going to Disneyland for a while, so that was really upsetting, but at least I have the memories that will last a lifetime.
Can we talk about how Disney food is the best? Upon arriving, I got a Tropical Greens Juice at Jamba Juice in Downtown Disney, then I got the spaghetti without meatballs and cheese at "Red Ratchet's" Pizza Port (suppposed to be Red Rockett's but you know...inside jokes), then my mom and I went to Tropical Imports in Adventureland (the farmer's market my mom and I call it) to get pineapple spears with tanjin and dill pickles, then to the Enchanted Tiki Room to get the famous dole whip and dole whip floats, then had vegetarian gumbo in a sourdough bread bowl for dinner in New Orleans Square.
And isn't waiting in long lines just the worst? To make sure we didn't have to wait too long in the lines, we got fast passes for the longest wait times, which who has ever been to Disneyland knows that that's Indiana Jones, Space Mountain, Big Thunder Railroad, and Splash Mountain. Thanks to the fast passes, the longest we ever had to wait was about 20 minutes, which was really good considering it was crowded and lots of graduating classes were there for their high school graduation trip. So I recommend getting fast passes whenever possible to avoid long waits.
One thing I want to mention before getting on with the pictures is that you must watch the Paint the Night parade and the fireworks show during your trip to Disneyland. They were so absolutely magical I was excited like a child, and yes, I cried.
I keep rambling about a bunch of different things so to make this short, I had a magical time at Disneyland, as always, and I was so glad I got to spend the day with some of my favorite people. I even ran into my best friend while there! The only thing I wish was that I didn't get a migraine, which made me ill half the day. I always get sick when I eat gluten, so it was no surprise that I got sick after eating the pasta and bread bowl. I was literally laying on the ground on top of my mom before the parade because I couldn't stand up. Make sure to also check out my vlog of the day on my YouTube channel. Okay, on with the pictures!
